Methodology
We have a unique way of developing coaching cultures, using a combination of original science, best practice research, process mapping, high impact training techniques, and intensive measurement.
Brain-Based Approach to Coaching
We have developed a theory that explains how and why coaching works, called the Brain-Based Approach to Coaching. Having a science basis helps analytical executives buy-in to coaching, increases the retention of new skills, and is improving the effectiveness of coaching itself.
Best Practice Research
Over 10 years we have identified a set of principles for how to coach most effectively in any type of conversation, how to structure the ideal coaching session, how to build a robust, accountable coaching engagement, and how to best manage complete coaching interventions. We also study the efficacy of coaching compared to other workplace interventions, and we are researching the impact of coaching on organisational cultures and the impact of various approaches.
Simple Coaching Models
We have around twenty core models that are simple and easy to remember. We train so that busy people can learn as easily as possible, step by step. We focus on the essentials so that people truly embed these, rather than trying to cover everything.
High Impact Training
We know that training needs to be fast, fun, and challenging. Our programs involve participants doing activities for over 75% of the time, activities specially designed to stretch them to build specific muscles. We deliver all our programs over time, modelling the impact of coaching, using a range of approaches. We have a set of core corporate training programs, out of which we tailor to an organisation’s needs.
Measurement
We have developed several measurement systems, and many of these are included in all programs. We have developed self-efficacy measurement tools to identify behaviour changes after an intervention, interviewing both participants and their direct reports. We also undertake business impact studies, through to full ROI studies on request.
